yourdomain.com/index.php?tp=1

will show the Template positions for quick reference.

In Joomla 1.6 this is not enabled by default as it was in Joomla 1.5.

To enable this in Joomla 1.6 go to Extensions -> Template Manager, and click the Options button in toolbar top right.

Set Preview Module Positions to Enabled.

When installing Joomla 1.6 there is the choice of using MySQL or MySQLi.

On JoomlaWebHosting.ca servers both will work, but MySQLi might be slightly faster.

The file in Joomla 1.6 root named web.config.txt is like the htaccess.txt file for Linux, but for Microsoft IIS.

If you're on a Linux server it can be ignored.

Same as htaccess.txt, web.config.txt is not enabled until the extension (.txt) is removed from the file name.

The Title Alias is used in Joomla SEF URL.

To completely disable the component without uninstalling it use the Joomla Extension Manager.
