Question: Can I assign Joomla Articles to multiple Categories?
Answer: No, but there are some options to consider....
First, you may want to decide if having the exact same content at two different urls is a good idea from a SEO standpoint. This tutorial does not address that angle.
Possible work-arounds for putting a Joomla Article in more than one category include:
- make duplicate Articles and assign to different Category.
- use Menus instead of dynamic lists of content items.
- use the new Tags feature to simulate categories and link using the Tags Menu Item.
- use a Third Party Extension that allows Article assignment to multiple Categories. There are free and paid Extensions in the Joomla Extensions Directory that allow Articles to be assigned to multiple Categories. In fact the Multi Categorization category is dedicated to this.
