Question: How can I see the module names and positions in my Joomla 3 template?
Answer: Follow the easy steps below ...
In Joomla Administrator go to Extensions -> Template Manager
Click the Options button (top right). You should see the settings below.
Set "Preview Module Positions" to Enabled and click Save.
Now the Joomla template positions will be shown on top of your template when tp=1 is added to the url.
Example: http://www.example.com/index.php?tp=1
This is helpful when assigning modules to positions while setting up your site because it will give you a quick reference of the module names and positions.
Set to Disabled when not needed.
